Edgar Longoria
Edgar is a racial equity leader and healing
consultant. He approaches this work through a
social work lens, centering empathy and
compassion. Edgar has a track record of engaging
community partnerships and inspiring
collaboration, resource sharing, power sourcing,
and change.
Grounded in LGBTQIA+ identity, Mexican indigenous values, and lived experience, Edgar knows
intimately the journey of our Entre Hermanos community. He credits his family’s immigration
journey from Los Mochis, Mexico, and their experiences with language, poverty, race, and
survival, as his lessons in overcoming systemic and identity discrimination.
Edgar aspires to see people thrive in their authentic power – encouraging opportunities to
celebrate cultural identity, collective healing, and deepened relationships. He will embrace the
great work that Entre Hermanos has already done throughout its impressive history, while
strengthening the agency’s mission and impact in the community. Edgar holds an Executive
Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Washington and a Certificate in Racial
Equity Leadership
