At Entre Hermanos, we are outraged and heartbroken by the ongoing cruelty and violence inflicted on immigrant communities across the United States.
The detention of children under ICE custody, and the latest deaths connected to federal immigration enforcement in Minnesota, are not isolated incidents. They are part of a broader pattern of brutality and dehumanization that is tearing families apart, spreading fear, and putting lives at risk.
Let us be clear: No family should live in fear of being separated. No human being should die in detention or during enforcement operations.
We condemn the escalation of immigration enforcement tactics that endanger lives and traumatize communities. These actions are not about safety. They are about control, intimidation, and political power at the expense of human dignity.
Entre Hermanos exists to protect and uplift our community. We will not be silent while our immigrant neighbors are targeted, while children are detained, and while people die under a system that claims it is “protecting” the public.
To our immigrant community, especially our undocumented siblings, mixed-status families, and those living under constant threat: you are not alone.
We call on elected leaders, public institutions, and all people of conscience to take action:
- Demand accountability and transparency in immigration enforcement
- End the detention of children and families
- Ensure immediate access to legal counsel and medical care for those detained
- Protect due process and basic human rights for all immigrants
Entre Hermanos will continue advocating, organizing, educating, and mobilizing. We will continue providing culturally responsive services, trusted resources, and safe spaces for our Latine LGBTQ+ community and all immigrants who need support.
Our lives deserve dignity and respect. Due Process is the law.
We will stand up for our rights. Due Process is the law.
Unchecked ICE violence is wrong. Due Process is the law.
— Entre Hermanos
