Matt Gonzalez
Board President

Matt was born to a Mexican American family in San Antonio, Texas and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Community Health Worker Coalition for Migrants and Refugees, whose mission is to enhance the capacity and skills of Community Health Workers to address the needs of underserved populations, particularly migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees.

Ginna Hernandez
Secretary

Ginna was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and moved to Seattle with her wife seven years ago. She holds a BA and Master's in Public and International Affairs. She currently works with Public Health Seattle & King County as a Policy Analyst. She has served as Entre Hermanos Secretary since 2023.

Felipe Vera
Treasurer

Felipe Vera grew up in a small rural town in South Texas and moved to Seattle in 2017 to deepen his commitment to public service. He began his career in higher education, then transitioned into the nonprofit sector and later philanthropy, where he has contributed to global health initiatives focused on TB, HIV, vaccines, and strategic communications. Felipe holds advanced degrees in music business/performance and business administration. He is especially passionate about advancing organizations that reflect the intersections of his own identity and lived experience, and he is committed to building more inclusive, effective systems that serve communities with dignity and purpose.

Melissa Campos- Castañeda

Melissa Campos-Castañeda was born in Santa Clara, Ca and is the daughter of Mexican immigrant parents. She has been practicing immigration law in the Seattle and Tacoma area since 2007, specifically removal defense, including asylum and detained cases. She currently runs an immigration firm in Federal Way, WA.

Pedro Goicochea

Pedro Goicochea, MSc, MA, is a public health professional originally from Peru with more than 40 years of experience in HIV research, prevention, and community engagement. He moved to the United States in 2008 to work on the iPrEx Study, the first clinical trial to demonstrate the effectiveness of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in preventing HIV. Pedro has worked extensively with NIH-funded HIV research networks and institutions, including HPTN, HVTN, ACTG, ATN, IMPAACT, as well as the UCSF Center for AIDS Prevention Studies, the Gladstone Institutes, the UC Berkeley Forum for Collaborative HIV Research, the Office of HIV/AIDS Network Coordination and the University of Washington Center for AIDS Research. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication, a master’s degree in Health Promotion Sciences from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a master’s degree in Communication Strategies from Universidad de Lima. As a member of the Entre Hermanos Board of Directors, Pedro is excited to bring his deep expertise in research, communication, and community engagement to advance the health and well-being of the Latinx community in Washington State.
