Board of Directors

President – Matt Gonzalez

Matt was born to a Mexican American family in San Antonio, Texas. Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Matt moved to Seattle in 2016 to continue his career in public health. Matt is currently the Associate Program Officer of Health Promotion at Arcora Foundation, the foundation of Delta Dental of Washington. In his role, Matt cultivates new and existing partnerships with community-based organizations to improve health and racial equity in our state. Matt previously worked at the Oregon Center for Children & Youth with Special Health Needs (OCCYSHN), part of Oregon Health & Science University. At OCCYSHN, Matt developed a passion for public health and a desire to improve the overall well-being of others. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in New Media Communications from Oregon State University. When Matt is not working or returning to Texas to be with family, he enjoys traveling and exploring Seattle’s parks, beaches, and restaurant scene. Matt resides in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle.

Vice President – Brenda Natalie Martinez

Brenda is the Program Manager and Educator of the University of Washington School of Medicine’s Office of Rural Programs where she designs, manages, and revises public health curriculum for a six-week elective on community medicine comprised of more than 130 medical students. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology and a Masters of Public Health from the University of Washington, Community Oriented Public Health Practice.

Secretary – Ginna Hernandez
Ginna was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and moved to Seattle five years ago. She holds a BA in International Studies from American University and a Master’s in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh with a Certificate in Latin American Studies. She served in the Peace Corps Philippines as an English teacher and worked with at-risk youth providing HIV/AIDS training and awareness. She currently works with Public Health as a Program Manager. Ginna and her wife live in Seattle with their Pomchi, Cosmo Anuel.

Treasurer – Edgar Munoz

Edgar was born just blocks away from Entre Hermanos’ current office to Mexican immigrants who came to Washington State in the late 1980s. Edgar has spent his whole life in the Seattle area, is bilingual and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Economics. Edgar began his career with Bank of America in 2006 as a branch teller and today is a Vice President in Bank of America’s Global Commercial Bank providing financial solutions to Healthcare, Education and Not-for-Profit organizations. Edgar is a Co-Chair of Bank of America’s LGBT+ Pride Seattle Employee Network and is a very active member of its HOLA (Hispanic/Latino Organization for Leadership Advancement) Seattle Employee Network. Entre Hermanos brings together two of Edgar’s passions; serving the LGBT+ and Hispanic/Latino communities. Edgar lives in Wallingford with his partner Brett and two French Bulldogs, Emma and Harper.

Member – Isaac Ruiz

Isaac Ruiz  is the founder and Managing Attorney of Ruiz & Smart Plaintiff Litigation PLLC, in Seattle, where he represents clients in tort, insurance-recovery, and civil-rights cases. He previously served as a commissioner on the Seattle Community Police Commission (three years as co-chair) and member of the QLaw Foundation board (one year as president). Isaac has been named a Washington “Super Lawyer” for six straight years and was recently honored as one of the Top 100 lawyers in Washington by Thomson Reuters. Isaac was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. His parents are Mexican immigrants. Isaac was the first college graduate in his family.

Member – Cisco Cornidez-Pittman

Cisco was born in Douglas, Arizona to immigrant parents and grew up in Silver City, New Mexico. He relocated back to the Seattle area in February 2016. Cisco graduated from the University of Washington and completed the Physician Assistant program. After graduating, he worked at The Polyclinic for a few years. In December 2017, Cisco graduated from Arizona State University and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). He currently works at Northwest Behavioral Associates (NBA) in Bellevue, Washington where he provides ABA services to children and young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Cisco has been involved with the gay softball league for several years, loves spending time outdoors, and enjoys time with friends. He is passionate in providing services that affect the LGBT+ and Hispanic/Latino communities in the Seattle area. Cisco currently lives in Kirkland with his husband, Dustin, and their adorable dog, Radley.
